[ english version ] Linha do tempo Para conseguir uma variação na forma do desenho das silhuetas,
era necessário operar uma mudança no meu próprio
corpo. Para manipular o desenho, eu tinha que manipular meu corpo. |
[ top ] Timeline During one year, I’ve been submitted to a process of weight loss. At the beginning of the process, and at the months 4, 8 and 12 of the process, pictures of my entire body (front and side) have been taken. After the process has ended, silhouettes of my body have been traced, one for each period of the process. Later, these silhouettes had been printed overlaid in natural size. To obtain a variation in the form of the drawing of the silhouettes, it was necessary to operate a change on my own body. To manipulate the drawing, I had that to manipulate my body. The overlay of the silhouettes in all the periods of the weight loss process hinder us to follow each silhouette individually, so it is impossible to retrace the contour of my body on a single past moment. This creates a concurrence and a reversibility of the different times presented in the work, enclosing the process in a continuous time loop. |
